German RUD lifting rings and loading connections, a symbol of safety in moving loads
In industrial projects, oil and gas, and construction, the safety of moving loads (Lifting) is the first word. Using non-standard equipment not only increases the risk of the load falling, but also incurs irreparable costs. Lifting rings and load connection points of the German RUD brand are known as the global gold standard in heavy industry. These equipments, with their engineering design, allow the safe connection of crane hooks and slings to heavy parts.
Why is Germany's RUD load-bearing fittings the first choice of engineers?
With decades of experience in manufacturing lifting equipment, the RUD brand produces products that go beyond the usual safety standards. The unique features of these products are:
- Precise engineering and superior raw materials: Use of alloy steel with very high tensile strength (High-Grade Alloy Steel) which ensures product stability in harsh working conditions.
- Ability to rotate and align: Unlike conventional rings, RUD (Swivel Lifting Points) models are designed in such a way that they are automatically aligned in the direction of tension when loaded. This feature prevents the sling from tying and applying lateral force to the screw.
- High Safety Factor: All RUD loading equipment has been tested with a safety factor of 4 (and higher), which minimizes the risk of breakage under load.
Various models of RUD lifting rings
Variety in projects requires various tools. RUD products are offered in the following categories:
- Bolt-on Points: Suitable for quick connection to parts with threaded holes. Easy installation and re-separability are the main features of this model.
- Swivel Lifting Points: Ideal for moving asymmetric loads. These rings rotate around their axis and prevent twisting of the chain or wire rope.
- Weld-on Points: For permanent connection to metal structures or heavy machinery. These models are the best option for situations where there is no place for screws.
- Special loading hooks: Designed for special applications such as carrying industrial molds or prefabricated concrete parts.
Industrial applications
RUD lifting rings are used in a wide range of industries, including:
- Relocation of plastic injection molds and presses.
- Installation and relocation of power plant equipment and turbines.
- Marine and shipbuilding equipment.
- Heavy construction and metal frame projects.
